We are Ready to Open Your COVID-19 Trials NOW!
Combatting the spread of COVID-19 is impacting the clinical trial industry and
Centricity Research is here to help with our philosophy of DO WHATEVER IT TAKES.
Centricity Research’s multispecialty, three-story research clinic shares a parking lot with the Emergency department at our largest community hospital. We have complete access to the 583-bed hospital with a Level II trauma center, Level III NICU, pediatric intensive care, stroke center, and multiple urgent care facilities. In addition, multiple sites have private research wings, separate from the regular practices so COVID-19 patients can be seen. The hospital recently received a $1M grant to add 36 new beds to an unused portion of the building for COVID-19 patients.
With over 15 years’ experience in infectious disease research,Centricity Research can be a resource in this time of need. Our capabilities include:
- Central IRB use across all sites
- 24/7 On-Call Staff
- 24hr Access to On-Site Lab for STAT Results
- ACRP Certified Staff
- Vaccine and Testing Experience
Start-Up Study Activities
There will be no study startup delays on our side. All COVID-19 clinical trials will take PRIORITY. Centricity Research has employed work-from-home employment for several years, and our Contract & Budget and Regulatory departments are fully remote. Even since the pandemic began, we have continued our normal, rapid study startup timelines. We provide same day turn-around on all documents.
Our Commitment to CROs/Sponsors
As an organization that conducts clinical trials for the betterment of humankind, health and safety are first and foremost in our minds. We will start up studies quickly, gather data per protocol, offer flexible visit to patients and CRAs, and enter all data into the EDC as we always do – in a timely manner and with accuracy.
Measures Taken Within Our Clinics
- Educational updates to our staff;
- Restriction of business travel by our employees and working from home whenever possible to reduce the chance of exposure to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19; and
- Prevention of visitors, vendors and patients with COVID-19 symptoms from entering our facilities.
Patient Visits and IP
We will continue to see patients in the clinics as long as they are not believed to have been exposed to COVID-19 and are not symptomatic.
If a patient does not have symptoms but has self-quarantined, or if the Centricity Research Site is part of a clinic that has closed, we can conduct visits by phone, Microsoft Teams, or by sending an Centricity Research employee into the patient’s home. IP can be shipped or dropped off by the CRC using a contact-free method.
If a patient has symptoms, we can conduct visits by phone or by Microsoft Teams. IP can be shipped or dropped off by the CRC using a contact-free method. Microsoft Office 365’s products are HIPAA-compliant, and we have the documentation of this available for Trial Master Files as needed. Patients join by a secure link generated by the CRC.
Monitoring Visits
Centricity Research has been proactive in moving to electronic platforms. Most of our trials’ regulatory documents are stored in an electronic regulatory system (Veeva) and can thus be accessed remotely by your CRAs. To protect our patients, employees, and families, we prefer that SIVs, IMVs, and COVs be conducted remotely whenever possible.
COVID-19 Management
If you have an appointment at an Centricity Researchh office in the coming weeks, please know that we will ask you to conduct your visit by phone or Microsoft Teams if you:
