Chronic Cough Research Study
Lawrenceville, GA
A chronic cough is a cough that lasts for more than 8 weeks. It can be caused by a number of different things, including allergies, asthma, and acid reflux. Common symptoms of chronic cough include persistent coughing, difficulty sleeping because of the coughing, and chest pain or tightness. Sometimes a chronic cough can also produce mucus or phlegm. Treatment for chronic cough depends on the underlying cause, but may include medications such as antihistamines or inhaled corticosteroids. Quitting smoking and avoiding triggers like dust and pollution can also help reduce symptoms.
