
High Trigylcerides Research Study

When you eat, your body converts any calories it doesn’t need to use right away into triglycerides. The triglycerides are stored in your fat cells. Later, hormones release triglycerides for energy between meals. If you regularly eat more calories than you burn, particularly from high-carbohydrate foods, you may have high triglycerides (hypertriglyceridemia).
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of olezarsen on percent change in fasting triglyceride (TG) levels compared to placebo.
Qualifications
- Adults ages 18+
- Either have hypertriglyceridemia with fasting TG >150 mg/dL (1.69 mmol/L) and <500 mg/dL (5.65 mmol/L) or severe hypertriglyceridemia with fasting TG >500 mg/dL (5.65 mmol/L)
