
Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis Research Study

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a condition in which fat builds up in your liver. The more severe form of NAFLD is called nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). NASH causes the liver to swell and become damaged.
Qualifications
- Ages 18 years or more
- NAS greater than or equal to 4 with a score of at least 1 in each component of the NAS (steatosis, lobular inflammation, and ballooning) at Visit 2 liver biopsy, or ahistorical liver biopsy performed within 12 weeks of randomization
- Fibrosis stage of 1 or greater and below 4on NASH CRN fibrosis staging system at Visit 2 liver biopsy, or a historical liver biopsy performed within 12 weeks of randomization
