Pediatric Obesity Research Study
Pediatric obesity refers to the condition of being overweight or obese in children and adolescents. It is a result of excessive accumulation of body fat that can have negative effects on the health, development, and well-being of a child. Pediatric obesity is defined as having a body mass index (BMI) at or above the 95th percentile for age and sex, according to established growth charts. This condition is an important public health concern, as it can lead to various health problems, including diabetes, heart disease, joint problems, and sleep apnea.
